Entries for this prestigious Tournament on 11 grass pitches are strictly on a first come first served basis. Spaces will fill very fast. It promises to be a fantastic weekend of football and places are limited to each one day event. Please send in your application and appropriate payments without delay to avoid disappointment.

There will be numerous activities attractions, stalls together with a BBQ, Ices, Refreshments tents on the day. As this is a pre season Tournament, the age groups are set for the forthcoming season from September 2008/09. It will not be necessary to provide registration documents for each player but we would ask all teams involved to play fair and NOT field Players that are older than the age group you are entering.

Under 7’s & Under 8’s will play a round robin tournament each playing each other once.
The matches will start on a air horn and run for 16 minutes with a turnaround (no break) half way
through. A second air horn will sound at 16 minutes. This will tell the referee that time is up, he can play on for a minute or so if time needs to be added so the game will end on his whistle.
Normal 7 a side mini soccer rules apply, the referees decision is final.
All teams will take placed kicks for goal kicks from the goal line either side of the goal but must be within the marked penalty area (except the under 7’s and under 8’s who can play from their hands).
Roll on roll off subs are allowed but only with the referees permission and only when the ball is out of play.
2 points for a win, 1 for a draw, 0 for a lose. Plus a bonus point for positive goal difference (ie if a team wins 3-2 they would get 1 bonus point for a +1 goal difference, winning 3-0 would earn 3 bonus points).
In the event of a tie at the group stages, goal difference will be used, if still a tie the results of the tied teams will be used when they played each other, if still a tie goals against and if still a tie a penalty shoot out will take place. This method will only be used to ensure the correct teams qualify. If there is a tie for first and second the toss of a coin will replace the penalty shoot out contest to determine first and second.
Semi Finals and Finals will be decided with a penalty shoot out immediately after full time. 5 initial kicks followed by sudden death.
Finally please remember this is a pre season friendly children's football contest. Please encourage and support but refrain from arguments with officials and other teams - Lets have a fun and safe day for everyone. Thank you..

HOW DO YOU SCORE POINTS

To keep everyone involved for as long as possible we allocate points differently to other tournaments. These are as follows.

Win – 2 points

Draw – 1 point

Lose – 0 points

Plus 1 point for every positive goal scored

So if you win 2 – 0 you would get 4 points (2 for the win and 2 for the +2 goal difference), if you draw 3 – 3 you would only get 1 point for the draw, if you won 5 – 4 you would get 3 points (2 for the win plus one bonus point for the +1 positive goal difference).

In this way any team could still qualify right up until their last game
