The Flags represent the
country's that have taken part over the last two tournaments |
The Haarlem Cup is
played on 35 first class grass pitches and located just 15
minutes from Amsterdam; this is your chance to compete in
one of Europe's leading events.
In addition to the soccer there is a full social programme
at the HAARLEM CUP including an opening parade, discos,
sightseeing, penalty shoot out and more. Just a short drive from the
tournament HQ. This gives you the chance to enjoy the
wonderful beaches the coast offers. |
Participating in the Regio Haarlem Cup
is more than just
playing in a great soccer tournament. Every night there are
different events taking place specially organized for the
tournament participants. The Haarlem Cup Promo Village is
located on the R.C.H. complex and all participants are
welcome there all week. In the Promo village you will find
the Regio Haarlem Cup restaurant, tournament information and
registration tent, a great terrace, a children playground,
the souvenir shop, a music stage, the Haarlem Cup Pub etc.
Every evening there will be music. |
On Thursday evening at 8.30 p.m. the official Youth
Friendship Games Friendship Ceremony will take place in the
R.C.H. stadium and Friendship Village. More than 6.000
spectators will be present at this great show.
A flag parade in Olympic style with all participating
nations and a part of the teams will be one of the
highlights of tonight.
The teams, dressed in there club uniforms, will walk into
the stadium and all nations will be called by the tournament
speaker. The tournament will be officially opened by a
prominent guest.
In the past editions the tournament was opened by many
famous people. Among them Edwin van der Sar (the goalkeeper
and captain of the national Dutch soccer team) and Multiple
Olympic Swim Champion and world record holder Inge de Bruijn.
The mayor of Heemstede will address a speech to the
participants, and the Friendship Fire will be lit. In the
past we had famous performers like T-Spoon and 2 Brothers on
the 4th Floor.
A great music performance will complete a fantastic show and
will make this evening an unforgettable happening for all
participants, team leaders, parents and spectators.
The Youth Friendship Games Dance Party will be held in the
Friendship Village on Friday night, July 25th from 7:30
p.m. till 11.30 p.m. Most of the Youth Friendship Games
participants will be present tonight.
The year 2008 marks the 15th time that the Dance Party is
present at the Regio Haarlem Cup and Youth Friendship Games
tournament.
Each year the Dance Party is one of the highlights of the
event. Be prepared for a fantastic party with popular DJ's
and VJ's that will assure you an enjoyable evening.
Only Youth Friendship Games participants receive admission
passes for this party. Without this pass you will NOT be
admitted to the party.
The pass is only valid in combination with your regular
participants card (that you may need to show on request).
The regulations as stated on the back of your admission pass
need to be complied with by everyone.
Alcoholic drinks are NOT served at the Youth Friendship
Games event ground during the Dance Party. It is forbidden
to bring alcoholic drinks to the event ground.
