Roundshaw U10 Hurricanes represent Roundshaw Colts and the Surrey F.A. at the Home of footballs national stadium Wembley with Geoff Hurst

On behalf of McDonald's, I would like to thank you for taking part in the first ever FA/McDonald's National Football Festival at Wembley Stadium last month. It was a pleasure to meet you and your team and please find enclosed a signed memento of the day.

The festival was a great success and a fitting finale to what's been another fantastic summer of McDonald's/FA Football Festivals. In all, over 50 festivals were held in counties across England hosting around 37,000 children. I was lucky enough to visit several of the festivals and, as always, what stood out alongside the fun and enjoyment of the children was the dedication, hard work and enthusiasm of the coaches and parents.

It was therefore great to be able to reward Charter Standard Clubs, our coaches and their teams with a day out at the home of football. Teams from every single county in England were represented at the National Football Festival and over 800 children got the chance to play on the stadium's hallowed turf. Maybe some of them will return to play one day wearing an England shirt!

Once again, we hope that you enjoyed the festival and look out for details of how to take part in next year's festival programme.

Best Wishes

Sir Geoff Hurst MBE

McDonald's Director of Football
